    About this playbook

Longview — the trend-aligned oscillator dip.

    The tide

The 50 and 200 EMAs set the tide. Longview only trades with it: longs while the stack is bullish, shorts while it is bearish. The trend decides the direction and the oscillator decides the moment.

Both averages draw on the chart alongside the stochastic in its own panel, so the two halves of the decision are visible at once.

    Timing the dip’s end

The stochastic falling into oversold means the market is dipping. That is not the signal — a dip can keep going. The signal is the oscillator climbing back UP through the oversold line, which is the dip finishing.

Taken inside an established uptrend, that turn is a pullback ending rather than a bottom being called. The short side is the exact mirror beneath a bearish stack.

    The settings that matter

The oversold level is the patience dial — how deep a dip you require before the recovery counts. The stochastic’s %K, %D and smoothing periods change how quickly it reacts to that dip.

The EMA pair defines the tide itself, and the target R:R together with the ATR stop shapes each trade’s risk. The slow clock is deliberate: this one is built to hold through noise, not react to it.
