The cloud

Ichimoku draws a complete picture in one indicator: two fast lines that cross, and a projected cloud that maps support and resistance ahead of price. The cloud is the part that matters most — price above it is bullish territory, below it bearish.

The full system renders on your chart: conversion line, base line, and the cloud spans shaded between them.

Two conditions, not one

A conversion/base cross on its own fires constantly, including inside the cloud where the market has no direction. Skyline demands both: the cross AND a clean break clear of the cloud.

That second condition is what keeps it out of the chop. It means fewer signals, each taken where the market has actually committed to a direction.

The settings that matter

The conversion, base and span-B periods shape how quickly the whole system reacts — the base period especially, which sets how much confirmation the cross requires.

Displacement controls how far ahead the cloud is projected, and the distant 6R target reflects the design: rare, high-conviction signals given a long runway.
